The tranquil scene late Sunday night, just before a large cloud of thick black smoke was seen blowing from the controller...then all went quiet. Yeah, that's right, the machine came to life and about ten minutes into the first run, the power supply overheated and melted a few wires. I'll have to scrounge up another ps and get things going again. I was thoroughly excited to see this machine go from a pile of parts to a living, moving machine!
I didn't have a chance to mount a pen and do some calibration on the paper, but it won't be long!
It is not often that you can get away with having three huge linear power supplies laying on the dining room table!
Thanks to a generous donation from Bill, I now have a beautiful 24v 12a linear supply powering the TK-421. I added the switch.
